People invited to SNH reception in Helensburgh

Local people are being invited along to an informal evening reception held by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) at The Victoria Halls on Tuesday 15th April from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

Local people are being invited along to an informal evening reception held by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) at The Victoria Halls on Tuesday 15th April from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

SNH is the Scottish Government's advisor on the management, enjoyment, understanding and sustainable use of Scotland's nature and landscape.

Iain Ross, SNH’s newly appointed Chairman, will host the event along with SNH Board member Bob Furness, Unit Manager for Argyll & Outer Hebrides David Maclennan and other members of his area team.

Iain Ross said: “The evening will give people the opportunity to have an informal discussion with senior staff about our work in the area, find out what we do and why, and raise issues about the natural environment which are of interest to them. It’s also a really useful way for us to keep in touch with public perceptions of the organisation. We certainly hope many people will be able to come along and we look forward to meeting them on the night.”

The event is free and light refreshments will be provided. Places are limited so booking is advisable. For more information contact Caroline Anderson at Scottish Natural Heritage, Lochgilphead on 01546 603611 or Caroline.anderson@snh.gov.uk
