People invited to an SNH reception in Galashiels
Local people are being invited along to an informal reception held by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) at the Kingsknowes Hotel, Galashiels, from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday 15 June 2016.
SNH is the Scottish Government's advisor on the management, enjoyment, understanding and sustainable use of Scotland's nature and landscape.
Ian Ross, SNH’s chairman, will host the event along with fellow board member Jackie Hyland.
Ian Ross said: “The event will give people the opportunity to have an informal discussion with senior staff about our work in the area, find out what we do and why, and raise issues about the natural environment which are of interest to them.
“It’s also a really useful way for us to keep in touch with public perceptions of the organisation. We certainly hope many people will be able to come along and we look forward to meeting them.”
