People invited to an SNH reception at Boat of Garten

Local people are being invited to an informal reception held by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) at Boat of Garten Village Hall from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday 17 May 2016.

SNH is the Scottish Government's advisor on the management, enjoyment, understanding and sustainable use of Scotland's nature and landscape.

Susan Walker, SNH’s vice-chairman, will host the event along with fellow board member Ian Gillies and area manager George Hogg.

She said: “The event will give people the opportunity to have an informal discussion with senior staff about our work in the area, find out what we do and why, and raise issues about the natural environment which are of interest to them. It’s also a really useful way for us to keep in touch with public perceptions of the organisation. We certainly hope many people will be able to come along and we look forward to meeting them.”

The event is free and light refreshments will be provided. Places are limited so booking is advisable. For more information or to book a place, call 01479 810477 or e mail South_Highland@snh.gov.uk
