MEDIA INVITE: SNH and Environment Minister to announce decision on general licence restrictions

What: To help reduce raptor persecution, Scotland’s Minister for the Environment and Climate Change, Paul Wheelhouse, asked SNH to consider how general licences could be restricted. Mr Wheelhouse will announce the results of this review on Monday morning.

A news release will be issued on the day.

When: Monday, 6 October at 11.15am.

General licences allow landowners or land managers to carry out actions which would otherwise be illegal, including controlling certain types of birds for conservation purposes or to protect crops or livestock.
