Locals invited to an SNH reception in Glasgow
Local people are being invited along to an informal evening reception, held by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) in Glasgow on Wednesday 28 October from 5:30 to 7 pm. The venue is Glasgow Caledonian University, in room A526 on the 5th floor of the Govan Mbeki building.
Scottish Natural Heritage is the Scottish Government's advisor on the management, enjoyment, understanding and sustainable use of Scotland’s wildlife, natural habitats and landscape.
Sue Walker, SNH’s deputy chair will host the event, along with local area manager, Ross Johnston.
Sue said: "The evening will give people the opportunity to have an informal discussion with senior staff about the work of SNH in the Glasgow area - what we do and why; and the chance to raise issues about the natural environment which are of interest to them. It’s also a really useful way for us to keep in touch with public perceptions of the organisation. We certainly hope many people will be able to come along and we look forward to meeting them on the night."
The event is free and light refreshments will be provided. It is open to everyone but places are limited so please book a place in advance. For more information get in touch with Suzanne Moore at the SNH Clydebank office on 0141 951 4488 or suzanne.moore@snh.gov.uk
