Kilmarnock opportunity to talk nature with SNH
Local people who want to know more about the work of Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) are being encouraged to come along to an informal evening reception at The Park Hotel, Kilmarnock, 5 to 7pm on Thursday 20 October.
SNH is the Scottish Government's advisor on the management, enjoyment, understanding and sustainable use of Scotland’s wildlife, natural habitats and landscape.
Ian Ross, SNH’s chairman, will host the event, along with board member, Ian Gillies and local area manager, Kerry Wallace.
Ian said: "The evening will give people the opportunity to have an informal discussion with senior staff about the work of SNH in the Ayrshire area - what we do and why; and the chance to raise issues about the natural environment which are of interest to them. It’s also a really useful way for us to keep in touch with public perceptions of the organisation. We certainly hope many people will be able to come along and we look forward to meeting them on the night."
The event is free, open to everyone and light refreshments will be provided. However, places are limited so please contact SNH in advance to book your place. For more information and to book get in touch with Louise Stuart at the SNH Ayr office on 01292 270760 or louise.stuart@snh.gov.uk
